TALARCHEK, Myrtle E. (Goodman) (Age 86) – Passed away on March 22, 2017 in Spokane, Washington. She was born on January 26, 1931 in Chewelah, Washington to William Frank and Nellie Agnes (Tetro) Goodman. Myrtle grew up on a farm near Chewelah and attended schools there. On March 26, 1960, she married Joseph C. Talarchek of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania at Fairchild Air Force Base Chapel. They spent the first 14 years of their marriage at various locations due to Joseph’s reassignments ending at McChord Air Force Base, Washington when he retired from the Air force in 1974. She was employed at different office positions, both civilian and governmental, through the years retiring from the Office of Hearings and Appeals as Assistant Hearing Office Manager in January 1991. Born the seventh of 13 children she was preceded in death by both parents; six brothers, Lloyd, James, William, Verl, Thomas, and Grant; sisters, Nellie May, Etta, Dora, Della and Thelma “Teeny”. She is survived by her husband, Joseph of Spokane; sister, Emily Schleppenbach; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL AND HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. A service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Sunset Chapel, Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
