Mona Faye Weber

WEBER, Mona Faye (age 86) - Entered into rest on Monday, April 3, 2017 in Spokane. Mona was born in Spokane to John and Vera (Harris) Millhorn. She attended local schools and graduated from LCHS. She went on to receive her B.A. from Eastern Washington State College. She married the love of her life, Edwin E. Weber in November 1953. Together they raised three loving children, Janet, Marsha, and David. Mona was a stay-at-home Mom during the children’s growing years, but she was a proud working woman both at home and outside the home. She enjoyed her four years working for Culligan Soft Water and worked even harder when she and Ed purchased and operated Spokanite Cleaners. Although she worked full time at Spokanite (until retiring in 2001), Mona devoted much of her time to her passion, charity. She was a volunteer with the Guild School and Meals on Wheels. She was a proud 70 year member of Manito Presbyterian Church. A member of P.E.O., Mona was also actively involved the Order of Eastern Star. She was Past Matron and long-time Treasurer of Adelphi Chapter 181 O.E.S., where she held membership for over 67 years. She was also a member of El Karnak Temple #6, Daughters of the Nile, in support of Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Mona was a giver and a servant. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Edwin E. Weber, at home; children, Janet (Doug) Babin, Marsha (Mark) Swenson, and David (Inga) Weber, all of Spokane; seven grandchildren , eleven great-grandchildren; and three precious cousins, Geraldine Boston, Vivian Vestal, and Eldon Widmer. She was preceded in death by her parents. For those wishing, viewing will be, on Thursday and Friday, April 6 & 7, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, N 4305 DIVISION. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Manito Presbyterian Church, 401 E 30th Ave, Spokane . Interment will precede near Mona’s parents at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery.
