Maxine Mary May Retter

RETTER, Maxine M. – (age 97) – Born in Spokane on May 3, 1919, “Maxie”, entered into eternal rest on April 7, 2017 in her beloved Spokane. She was a lifetime resident of Spokane, attending local schools and graduating Mead High School with the class of 1936. Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Retter in 2003. She was a loving wife and mother. One of her greatest joys was caring for the home of 50 years that, she and Ed built on North Post Street. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Retter of Red Hill, PA; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks and appreciation for the love and care shown Maxie by the kind and compassionate staff of Willow Grove "loving home".  Visitation will be Wednesday, between the hours of 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N DIVISION. Funeral service will take place Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. at the Sunset Mausoleum Chapel on the grounds of Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery. Private interment will follow.In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Hospice of Spokane.  "They are a true blessing!"
