Ruth E. Pease-Botchek

Pease-Botchek, Ruth E. (age 90) entered into rest on September 2, 2009. She was born on July 17, 1919 in a little log cabin near Fish Lake to parents Ray and Happy Shepard. Ruth graduated from Cheney High School and later from Morris School of Beauty. She worked as a beautician for over forty years. Ruth volunteered for 15+ years making floral arrangements for the Sacred Heart Hospital gift shop. A faithful member of First Presbyterian Church for 60+years, she served as a Deacon and in many groups. Ruth was very active in her community and spent many hours volunteering, for organizations to numerous to mention. She enjoyed travel, gardening, but most of all her family, especially her grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her son Steven L. (Joyce) Pease; daughter, GlennaRae (Edwin) Keller; granddaughters, Tami (Kirk) Butters and Diane Ragland-Morehouse (Dan) Morehouse; grandson, Steven C. (Anne) Ragland ; great-grandsons, Joey (Heather) Butters and Scott Butters; stepson, Jacob “Jim” Botchek; sister-in-law, Eunice Shepard; numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, Ray and Happy Shepard; husbands, G. LeRoy Pease and Martin C. “Bud” Botchek; stepson, Charles “Chuck” Botchek; and her brother, Glen Shepard, preceded her in death. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, September 5th at Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery 5909 S. Cheney-Spokane Rd.
