FISCHBACH, Mae S. (Age 104) – Was born on November 22, 1912 in Clayton, WA. She passed away quietly on June 22, 2017. Mae was a lifelong resident of the Spokane area. Everybody loved Mae. She was so kind and generous to all. She was a wonderful wife, mother and just an all-around amazing woman. Mae volunteered at Holy Family Hospital for 14 years, loved working out in her yard and was the oldest season ticket holder and supporter of the Gonzaga Women’s Basketball team. She really put her stamp on her many, many friends and her community. Mae is survived by son, Robert (Waunita) Fischbach of Spokane; daughter, Judy (Jerry) Thatcher of Puyallup, WA; daughter, Glenda (Ron) Miller of Spokane; three grandchildren, Dawn Paine, Les Fischbach and Tad Fischbach; and 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Ted in 1995. “The family wish to give our heartfelt thanks to the staff at The Academy Assisted Living facility for 4 years of love and excellent care.” A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Humane Society and/or the Union Gospel Mission.
