Karen Anne Salyards

SALYARDS, Karen Anne (age 50) – Entered into rest on September 18, 2009 in Spokane. Born in Spokane, Karen attended Whitman Elementary, Shaw Jr. High, and Rogers High School. She worked at various businesses in the area including, Nine Mile School Dist., the Willow Bay Resort, the Wagon Wheel, Sunset Tavern, Hillyard VFW, Lawton Printing, and Subway. Karen was a member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Mary Ann and Richard Swan of Newport,WA; her life-partner, Randy Hlookoff of TumTum, WA; her brother, John Kain of Airway Heights, WA; half-brother and his spouse, Kevin and Cristy Leckman of Spokane; aunt and uncle, Pat and Roy McIrvin of Wrangle, AK; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Chad, Jennifer, Lacy, Travis, Angie, and Anthony; great-nephew, Trenton; her kitty-cat, “Tiggy”. Graveside funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at 2:00 P.M., at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery.
