(Age 95) Ada passed away Sept. 22, 2009. She was born in Spokane on Oct. 5, 1913 to Tracy & Alvina (Muhs) Williams. She attended Veradale Grade School and Central Vally High School then graduated from Queen Anne High School in Seattle. Later she married Master Sgt. George E.Yocom. They lived in many states until his medical discharge in 1948 where they made their home in Hoodsport, WA. Following his death in 1969 Ada moved to Spokane to be with relatives. In 1975 she met and married William Herrington, aquiring an extended family. She was preceeded in death by her parents, her husbands, George and William, her Uncles Elmer and Ted Muhs, Aunt Eileen, and Eileen's son Marc Phillips. Also, four of her step children, Bernice Stufflebeam, Cliff, Paul and Phil Herrington, one grandson, and one great-great grandson. She is survived by step-daughter Madelin and her husband Ansel of IA, two step-daughters Evonne and Donnalee Herrington of WA.. Also by her cousins: Berti and her husband Jim Arnzen, Fred and his wife Judy Muhs, Janice Thompson, of of ID and Ann Messelt of MT, Dennis Phillips and his wife Linda of OH, and numerous grand and great grand-children and cousins. Ada was an active member of Spokane First Nazarene Church, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd for nearly 30 years where Memorial Services will be held at 2pm on Monday, Sept, 28th. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane.
