van der Meer, Cornelis “Mr. Soccer” (age 74) Cornelis van der Meer XVI, born to Gerrit Jan van der Meer and Petronella Anna Maria Raeijmaeckers on February 7, 1935 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He passed away at home in Spokane, WA on September 30, 2009 from cancer. Cor is survived by wife Sandra, son Gerard, daughters Laurinda and Christina, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild as well as a brother and sister. A memorial service to celebrate Cor’s life will be Tuesday, October 6th at 4 pm at Spokane Falls Community College Stadium. RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N.
