Sadie Virginia Rima

Rima, Sadie V. (age 102) entered into rest on October 13, 2009. She was born in Peach, WA on April 2, 1907 to parents Charles and Philomine Lynn. Sadie was a lifelong resident of Northeastern Washington and she was the oldest enrolled tribal member of the Spokane Tribe. She married Charles S. Rima and together had seven children. Charles preceded Sadie in death in 1975. Sadie is survived by her children, Vaughn (Mary) Rima of Wellpinit, Audrey LeBret of Wellpinit, Charles S. (Phyllis) Rima, Jr. of Spokane, Keith (Judy) Rima of Spokane, and Barbara (Richard) Barger of St. Helens, OR; 32 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00PM Thursday and Friday, October 15 and 16 at Riplinger Funeral Home 4305 N. Division Spokane, WA. A “Celebration of Life” will begin Friday, October 16 at 11:00AM at the Longhouse in Wellpinit, WA. Interment will be 10:00AM Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery 211 N. Government Way in Spokane followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:30 AM at Riplinger Funeral Home.
