Mary Anna elected to join her Heavenly Father on October 5, 2017 after several years of fighting his attempts to take her. She was born in Springfield, SC on September 17, 1930 to Tracy and Myrte Fulmer and enjoyed growing up as a small-time farm girl with her two brothers (Wallace and Dicky) and one sister (Nancy); all deceased. In 1952, she went to work at the Savannah River Plant where she cleverly enticed a young hick Montana Engineer (Tom Bryan) into marriage. This culminated in the creation of five children who became the light and focus of her life. In 1963, the family moved to Chattanooga, TN and in 1969 they moved to Spokane, WA. At all times, she was very active in the Methodist Church holding down many jobs, but the one she liked best was greeting people at the church door with hugs and making sure each person felt welcome. She loved going to the Montana cabin, camping, fishing and hunting as the family progressed from tent to tent trailer to travel trailer. Her travels have taken her to all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, China, Australia, New Zealand, England, Scotland and Ireland. She was well loved by everyone who met her and was active in Compass Club (President), Browne School PTA (Acorn Award), two bridge clubs and Friday breakfast club. If she met you once, she cared about you. She is the one who taught us there is always room for more people, more love and more family. She is survived by her husband, Tom; daughters Lorraine (Lenny), Melanie (Bob), Andrea (Guy); sons Reid (Debbie), Stuart (Paige); 21 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren with another two on the way. Mary Anna Bryan had a full and wonderful life and will be deeply missed by everyone she ever met. Heartbreak is not an adequate word to describe the pain of our loss. We will love you forever and always Mama. A celebration of her life will be held on October 14 at 1:00 PM at Fowler United Methodist Church; 3928 N Howard Street; Spokane, WA.
