Paul Ryan Yurik

December 31, 1979 — November 16, 2017

YURIK, Paul Ryan (Age 37) - It is with deep sorrow that we share the loss of our beloved, Paul. We find comfort in knowing that he is celebrating peace and joy in heaven with his Dad, and loved ones who passed before him. Paul was born in Spokane in 1979. He attended Brentwood Elementary through grade 4, and Walla Walla Public Schools through grade 11. He graduated from Mead HS in 1999. A year after undergoing treatment for brain cancer, he received his AAS degree from SCC. Paul spent much of the next 14 years as a house painter. He loved his chosen trade and the people he felt blessed to meet and work with. Paul had, much like his father, a dry sense of humor that he shared with friends and family alike. We all knew Paul to be a thoughtful, caring son, brother, uncle and friend. Paul is survived by his mother, Peggy Yurik-Clemons (Neil); sister, Tami Gardner (Chad); brother, David Yurik (Crystal); and niece and nephews, Alexandra, Ben and Ethan. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His faithful dog, Ruby is left in the care of his favorite aunt and uncle, Patti and Terry Trueman. Paul is preceded in death by his father, John Yurik; cousin, Eric J. Nasburg; uncle, Eric W. Nasburg; aunt, Donna Egger; and his grandparents, Millie and John Egger and Jack and Wyn Yurik. The family extends a sincere thank you to the hard-working and caring people at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Saint Luke’s Rehabilitation Hospital, Manor Care, and Hospice North for encouraging and supporting Paul during the last few months of his life. A memorial service will be held at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division in Spokane on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend William Clemons will officiate. In lieu of flowers please consider Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210-2215 or a charity of your choice.
