Gordon W. Love

LOVE, Gordon W. (Age 77) - Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on November 20th, after a two year battle with cancer. He was born on November 15th 1932 in Spokane, WA and was a lifelong resident. Gordon is survived by his wife, Marilyn of 55 years; five children, Linda (Steve) Moran, Sharon (Jim) Davis, Daniel Love, Jennifer (Dan) Kostelecky, Jodi (Anthony) Root; his seven beloved grandchildren, Jesse, Amanda, Dana, Emily, Elaine, Natasha and Cory; and one great grandchild, Micah; his brother, David (Louise) Love; sister's-in-law, Shirley (Gerry) Erickson and Dorothy Farrell; and many nieces and nephews. Gordon graduated in 1951 from North Central High School. He served in the U.S. Navy under the Seabee branch and was also a business owner for many years in Spokane. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, baseball, fishing, camping and traveling with his family. Visitation will be held at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a vigil service at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 545 E. Providence, Spokane, WA. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane, WA.
