HANSEN, Andrew C. “Andy” (age 76) – Born September 29, 1933, in Wilbur, WA, to Chris and Audrey Hansen, Andy graduated from Wilbur High School. After serving in the U.S. Army, he went to Kinman Business College in Spokane. He then worked for W.W.P. as an auditor. In 1959, Andy went to work for Utter Motor Co. in sales and became the Sales Manager of the Used Car division until 1969. He then opened “Andy’s Resale Cars”. After retiring in June of 2008, on July 1st, Andy discovered he had bone cancer. He loved the outdoors. He spent his free time fishing and hunting in Washington, Mexico, Alaska, and Canada. Andy was a member of Manito Masonic Lodge, El Katif Shrine, Past Asst. Pageant Director, Past Pageant Director, Potentate’s Aide, El Katif Palomino Patrol, South Spokane Shrine Club, El Katif Legion of Honor, CDA Shrine Club, The Q, Past Worthy Patron of Adelphi Chapter O.E.S, and also a member of Foothills Shrine Club of Yuma, AZ. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, at home; son, Rod Hansen and his wife, Donna, and children, Amanda and Andrew; son, Tracy Hansen and his wife, Sherri and their daughter, Sierra; sisters, Hilda Bradshaw of Spokane, and Zenith Nicholson of Vancouver Island, B.C. ; brother, Mitch Hansen of Spokane; (numerous nieces and nephews “is this true?”) Viewing for family and friends will be on Monday, November 30th, 2009 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. at Riplinger Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, N 4305 Division, Spokane, WA 99207.
