Larson (Lanz), Micheala (Kayla) Marie 38 yrs old, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009 as a result of injuries suffered in a pedestrian/motor vehicle accident on Friday, November 20, 2009. Her final days were spent surrounded by many of the family and friends that Kayla had touched throughout her (too short) life. She was born April 9, 1971 in Spokane where she lived her lifetime. When she was young she spent many happy summers camping and fishing throughout Northeastern Washington. She graduated from North Central High School in1989 and from Spokane Community College in 2003. It was there that she attained her degree in Respiratory Therapy, a career that she loved from the start. In 1992 she married Christopher Larson and they made their home here in Spokane. They had 2 children who were her greatest pride and joy, Megan Marie Larson and Evan Christopher Larson. Kayla held many jobs over the years including, as a teen Corky’s Drive Inn Restaurant in the Garland Neighborhood, and later in the business office at US West Communications, JC Penney’s Photo Northtown, and later yet, Regency at Northpointe as a Respiratory Therapist. She is survived by her husband Chris and children Megan and Evan. Kayla was the much loved daughter and only child of Anita Arnold of Aberdeen, WA. Survivors also include her Dad: Bruce Arnold of Spokane, Step-dad: Cal Reeder, step-sister: Jaylene and her husband Aaron Conne and their daughter Ashley, all of Spokane. She had a very large family and also leaves countless loving Aunts, Uncles, and cousins, as well as many very special friends including Michael Trunkey, Michelle Witt and Cyndi Nypen. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in either child’s name to the individual trust accounts that have been established. Those deposits can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank. The Memorial service will be held Friday December 11, 2009, 2 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. Division St. Spokane, WA 99207. Following the memorial a Celebration of Kayla’s life will be held at Cam & Linda Bonnett’s home.
