Madden, Patrick F. (age 101) was born on January 31, 1908 in Lewiston, ID to M. Ann (Hanses) and Patrick A. Madden. He went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2009. Of pioneer stock, he grew up on a sizeable wheat, cattle, and sheep ranch along with seven siblings on the Waha Prairie. By the time Pat was 20 years old, his lifestyle had changed, and he was employed in the timber industry, working the last 20 years of employment as a carbide saw filer for Boise Cascade. From Lincoln, WA he retired to Elk, WA and from there moved to the Colbert, WA area. Patrick was an avid golfer, hunter, and bowler. He was also a member of a sharp shooting club, shooting in many competitions, and currently Pat holds the record of hitting the bull’s-eye 10 times in a row. In 1999, his wife of 58 years, Alice, preceded him in death. Patrick is survived by his son, James and his wife Joycelyn of Creston, WA; daughter, Norma Ann Martinson of Boise, ID and stepdaughter, Jeanne Hansen of Elk, WA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, December 18, 2009 from 9:00AM - 8:00PM at Riplinger Funeral Home 4305 N. Division Spokane, WA. A"Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00AM Saturday, December 19 at Riplinger Funeral Home with interment following the service at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery.
