WINN, Moffett 1943-2010 66 YEARS OLD Moffett Winn was born in Colfax Washington on October 5, 1943 to Loris and Georgia Winn and peacefully died in her sleep Thursday morning January 7, 2010, in Spokane, WA. She lived in Pullman, Davenport and Spokane Washington while her father worked for The Washington Water Power Company. She loved to play cards, swim at Priest Lake and enjoyed music. One of the highlights of her life was when her father took her to Seattle during the World's Fair in 1962 to see her music idol, Elvis Presley. Her grandfather, George C. Grimes, was a long time employee of Washington State College and he is honored by Grimes Way on the University Campus. Due to medical issues she has been a resident of St Joseph's Care center for over 20 years. Her mother, Georgia, now 101 years old, has also been a resident there for 6 years. Moffett was preceded in death by her father in 1979, and her aunts and uncles, Burnette and Kennard Jones of Spokane, Kester Grimes of Pullman and Kermit and Claudia Grimes of Portland, Oregon. She is survived by her mother, Georgia (age 101); her aunt Dorothy Grimes (age 101); cousins, Barry (Carole) Jones and Judy Jones of Spokane, Denny (Mary Lou) Jones of Sammamish, Gary (Gail) Grimes in Dundee, Oregon, Jon (Charlena) Grimes and David Grimes of Pullman, Scott (Vicki) Jones, Craig (Cathy) Jones, Todd (Wendy) Jones, Lora Lee Walter, all of Spokane, JoLynn (Don) Lochabay, Jennifer (Bryan) Croft, and Jereme (Jason) Tobias all of Texas, Julie (Tom) Hungate,and Mark Holl of Pullman, Jeffrey (Nicole) Grimes, Lincoln (Sophia) Grimes in Oregon and Anna Beth Weber of New York City, and numerous other cousins and special loving friends Jane Crowley and Verna Eucker and the staff of St. Joseph Care Center-Garden Level. At the request of her family, no funeral will be held. In lieu of cards and flowers, the family would like to suggest contributions to St Joseph's Care Center-Garden Level, 17 East 8th Ave, Spokane WA 99202, who have provided loving care for her for so many years.
