Phyllis F. Bunge

Phyllis Faye (age 93) entered into rest on January 24, 2010 in Spokane, WA. She was born on December 19, 1916 in Park Rapids, MN to parents, Oscar and Mary Thomas. Phyllis graduated Salutatorian, from Medical Lake High School in 1931. She married James R. Bunge and together they raised their two children, and shared over 60 years before his passing in 1992. Phyllis was an accomplished seamstress and an excellent sales person who was employed by several Spokane businesses. She loved her family, gardening, and playing cards with “The Girls. Phyllis was a remarkable, “true lady” who will be remembered always. She is survived by her son, Carl Bunge (Lynda Garratt) of Nine Mile Falls; daughter, Claudia and Dr. Donald M. Barth of Missoula, MT; grandchildren, Kyle Bunge (Rebecca McConnaughey) of Spokane, Carla (Dan) Haley of Spokane, James (Kay) Barth of Alberton, MT, and Mike Barth of Missoula, MT; several great grandchildren; sisters, Donna Lee Wheeler of Farmington, New Mexico and Lois V. Stintzi of Spokane. Visitation will be from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Thursday, January 28 and Friday, January 29 at Riplinger Funeral Home 4305 N. Division Spokane, WA. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in the Tum Tum Community Building 6424 Hwy 291 in Tum Tum, WA. Interment will be at 2:30pm at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane.
