Kenneth Roy Benway(age 76) passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on February 11, 2010. He was born to Roy and Gertrude Benway in Medical Lake, WA on November 2, 1933. Kenneth served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a 50 year member of the Laborers Union Local 238, American Legion Post 9, Moose Lodge #161, Lilac City Model Boat Club, and the American Power Boat Association. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, William Lawrence, Joe Arnold, and Dorothy Mae Morris. He is survived by his brother, Warren (Betty) Benway of Spokane; his sister, Bobbie Ann (Elton) Clark of Bakersfield, CA; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Patti Sykes. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday, February 15 and 16 from 9:00AM to 8:00PM at Riplinger Funeral Home 4305 N. Division Spokane, WA. Graveside service will begin at 1:00PM Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery 211 N. Government Way.
