PINTO, Mignon Christa Maria (Age 83) Our beloved mother and friend passed into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, February 13th. We will never forget her contagious smile, her love of life and her beauty. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mignon was struck by a car in 2003 and suffered brain injury. Despite this she went on to enjoy her life with her daughter, RaMona and son-in-law Larry until her pass - ing. She always had a smile for everyone who crossed her path. She attended Providence Adult Day Health every week, enjoying the special people there. She was a German war bride and married the love of her life, Gilbert, shortly after WWII. In 1949 they had a son, Bruce Dennis, who was still-born; in 1950 they had a daughter, RaMona Mary; and in 1952 they had a second son, René Gilbert who passed away at age 16. Mignon would want to be remembered for her unwavering faith in the Lord and her joy for life. Years ago she was an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She expressed her appreciation for God’s gifts by sharing her talents by teaching. She was the Needlework Instructor at the Crescent and her artistic talen was unsurpassed. She was an avid gardener and bowler. She ran Bloomsday every year. She loved music and had a soft spot in her heart for animals. She is survived by her daughter RaMona Pinto; son-in-law Larry Pickle. She was preceded in death by her parents,Johan and Hedwig Ebner and her siblings Manfred, Gunther and Siegrid. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sean Grubb, Brenda Mason, Providence Adult Day Health, STA Para Transit and to all our dear friends and family who have shown so much love and support. The Celebration of Mignon’s life will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, February 26th at Calvary Chapel, 511 W. Hastings Road, Spokane, WA with a reception to follow. Her ashes will be scattered privately at Fairmount Gardens.
