Burl Wayne Hamilton

February 14, 1934 — February 23, 2010

Our beloved family member, Burl Hamilton, left us to be with his Lord Jesus on February 23, 2010 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born on February 14, 1934 in Hunters, WA., to Walt and Mabel Hamilton. He attended several grade schools in the Spokane area and graduated from Mead High School. He and his wife are members of the Life Center Church. He was a very passionate man about unconditional love to be shown to everyone and truly loved the Lord. He also had a great love for his family and when he heard of a need, he opened his heart to them in whatever the need was. He also loved his Life Group from Life Center Church and Dan and Jane Sherwood, who headed up the prayer group on Wednesdays. He really loved Pastor Noel’s discipleship class on Tuesdays at Life Center Church on Government Way. His most precious treasures were his family, his intarsia (woodworking), his small garden, yard work and Sudoku. Burl retired from Excell Foods as Produce Manager. He is survived by his loving family: wife Nell, his mother Mabel Mathews of Spokane, his son Mike Hamilton (Sue) of Gilbert, AZ., daughter LouAnn Pierce (Clint) of East Wenatchee, stepdaughter Julie Binderim of Spokane, his sister Wanda Tuely (Billy) of Kansas City, MO., sister-in-law Goldie (Dick) Tuininga of Spokane, grandchildren Chad Shales (Bridget), Jeremy Fudge (Krissi), Adam Pierce (Nicole), Shawn Pierce, Angie Fullerton (Allen), David Hamilton, Angie Saunders(Jason), Shaine Binderim (Andrea), great grandchildren: Jacob, Emma, Hallie, Nathan, Schuyler, Brittney, Tiffany, Taylor, Kailey, Katie, Mackendra, Sami, Tyler and Ashley. Loving friends: Clayton and Myrna Graybeal, Dan and Jayne Sherwood, Bill and Lenore Craze, Tom and Pam Holt, Theda and Don Grinwis, Pastor Noel Campbell and many friends in our groups from Life Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Truth Ministries, Second Harvest Food Bank, Compassion International. Visitation today, Thursday, between noon and 8pm at the funeral home. Funeral Service Friday, February 26, 2010 at 1:00 pm at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N. Division, Spokane, WA 99207. Condolences can be made at jbinderim@live.com and guestbook at www.riplinger.com
