Fross, Del Ray (Age 60) Del passed away, Thursday, March 11, 2010 from a long illness of diabetes. He was born in Oakland, CA in 1949. Del graduated from high school in 1967. After graduation he was employed by Ukiah, CA U.S. Postal Service. In 1968, Del married his bride Vicki. He always loved to call Vicki “his bride”. They would have celebrated 42 years of marriage this year. While still working for the postal service, Del went into the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971. After the Army, Del returned to the postal service, retiring in 1997. Del then moved to the Spokane area. Upon his arrival, Del went right back to work as the co-owner/director of Crayon College Childcare Center. He really enjoyed working with kids. While living in Ukiah, Del and his wife owned a daycare for 25 years. Del loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, loved fishing, boating and camping with family. We had some of our best family times at Lake Roosevelt. Del loved the casinos, he was very lucky. Del was definitely a family man, an amazing husband, father, grandpa, wonderful brother and brother-in-law. He was always a friend to everyone. His sense of humor was always present. There wasn’t anyone like Del. Everyone who met him was amazed by him. Del left so many wonderful memories with us all. He loved his family so much, his wife Vicki, he was so proud of his two sons, Del Jr. and Jason, his grandkids, Nicolas, Shelby, Audry, and Evan meant the world to him, words could never express how much. Del loved his daughters-in-law Robin and Shawna just as much. Del’s family in Spokane were so happy when he moved back to the area so they were able to have this time together. He will be missed so much. Del was preceded in death by his grandparents, father Lefty, mother Patricia, brother Leland, and son Del Jr. He is survived by his bride Vicki, son Jason, grandsons Nicolas and Evan, granddaughters Shelby and Audry, brothers Jerry and Ray, sisters Georgie and Angel, and many nieces and nephews. Del’s wishes were to celebrate his life, as such no formal services will be held.
