Edward M. O'Neill (age 77) unexpectedly entered into rest on March 17, 2010. Ed was born in Seattle, Washington on June 20, 1932 to parents, Edward and Zora O’Neill. He married his loving wife Mireille in 1963 and together raised their three children. Ed served his country proudly in the USAF during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of the 401 TacFighter Wing USAFE and was the small arms sharpshooting champion – Europe AAF. Ed retired honorably from the USAF as a Master Sergeant. A 26 years resident of Spokane, he worked as the safety inspector for Spokane DSHS and was the head safety inspector for Eastern Washington before retiring in 1996. Edward is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mireille; son, Patrick E. O’Neill; daughter, Sandra M. O’Neill; son, Anthony M. O’Neill; daughter-in-law, Sandra K. O’Neill; grandson, Trevor Michael O’Neill; granddaughters, Lauren Tate O’Neill and Sierra Mireille O’Neill, all of Spokane. A Vigil will be held Thursday, March 25 beginning at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 3720 E. Colbert Rd., Colbert, WA. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM on Friday, March 26, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment with military honors will begin at 2:00 PM Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA.
