Agnes E. "Lou" Mix

MIX, Agnes E. “Lou” (age 99) – Entered into rest on April 5, 2010 in Spokane, WA. Born in Spokane on July 14, 1910 to Carl and Agnes Dahlgren, Lou was fiercely proud of her Swedish heritage. Her family settled in the Deer Park area in 1914. She attended local schools, graduating from Whitworth College with a teaching degree and retiring from the East Valley School District. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde Mix, in 2001, and her brother, Bert Dahlgren.Lou was a Past Matron of Adelphi Chapter #188 (Spokane) and of Bethlehem Chapter #87 (Deer Park) Order of the Eastern Star, a former member of the Daughters of the Nile, Phi Lambda Theta (Whitworth), and proud of her membership with Loon Lake Congregational Church. Lou will be remembered a strong and proper lady. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Judy Mix of Cathedral City, CA; two grandchildren; four great-grandsons; nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, N 4305 Division, Spokane, WA 99207.
