Werner "ANDY" Anderson

ANDERSON, Werner “Andy” (age 75) Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, born in Rockford, Illinois, on September 1, 1934, passed away with family by his side on May 19, 2010, from complications of lymphoma. Andy attended Rockford High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Joanne. He entered the Air Force in 1954, was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base, served time overseas in Tripoli and ultimately returned to Spokane. Andy worked for Benewah Creamery, URM, French’s and retired from Nalleys. Andy’s favorite pastimes were playing cribbage with the family, gin and cribbage with his wife of 55 years (who likes to “cheat”) as he says, working in his woodshop, cruising and traveling. His favorite places being the Caribbean, Maui and Vegas! He especially loved to pick on his grandchildren, who knew how to pitch it right back. Preceded in death by his parents, Werner A. and Edna Anderson, and his sister, Claudine Woodwrick. Survived by his wife, Joanne Anderson; his children, Cindy Brandt, Linda (Tom) Hudson, Sheryl (Doug) Gonwick, and Wayne (Ami Evermon) Anderson; grandchildren, Andrea Brandt (Shaine) Binderim, Jason (Mallory) Gonwick, Jessica Gonwick, Nicholas and Collin Hudson, Jimmy Evermon, and Spenser Anderson; great grandchildren, Mackendra, Samantha, Tyler, and Ashley Binderim; and his brother, Terry (Jane) Anderson of Virginia. “We love you and will miss you terribly.” A Celebration of Life will be held on May 29th, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Eagle’s Lodge, 6410 N Lidgerwood.
