Bogenreif, David J. “Bogie” (age 69) passed away May 24, 2010 at his home in Spokane. He was born in Spokane on September 8, 1940 to parents Royer F. and Maxine G. Bogenreif. After graduation from John R. Rogers High School, Dave served in the United States Air Force. On May 6, 1970, he married Patricia Kenny. Although they divorced in 1991, Dave and Pat remained friends and family until death. One of Dave’s favorite pastimes was stock car racing. He was involved with racing at the Interstate Fairgrounds and throughout the Northwest and Canada. Dave worked with crews for Jim Tipke and in later years with Marc Groskreutz. He began his Real Estate career with James S. Black & Co. in April of 1977 and retired in June 2008. His parents preceded Dave in death. Dave is survived by his four children, Sheri J. Bookey of Seattle, WA, Ron E. of Richland, WA, Michael J. (Kate) of Tekoa, WA, and Jeffery F. (Wendy) of Kennewick, WA; 13 grandchildren; two great granddaughters; his brother, Richard (Joann) of Reno, NV; aunts, Marcella Chronister of Spokane and Barbara (Jerry) O’Neill of Freemont, CA; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins. Also a great number of Kenny and Kennedy clans, who loved him very much and with whom had many great times. He was a member of the DAV and Eagles Lodge Aerie #2. A “Celebration of Life” will be 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Eagles Lodge 6410 N. Lidgerwood, Spokane, WA.
