Hazel Mae Rickman/Story passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at age 87. On November 12, 1922, Hazel Mae Hofmann was born in Plaza, WA, to her parents, Rudolph and Elsie Hofmann. She was raised on a farm with her sister, Lois, and brothers, Ralph and Carl. She attended Plaza Grade School and Spangle High School. She moved to Spokane and worked at Cenex Grange Supply. She married William Rickman and they had three children; Candis, Connie, and Brad. She has five grandchildren; Troy, Mathew, Sonya, Lesli, and Jaime, and two grandchildren in Heaven: Jonathan and Amanda. Hazel was much loved by all family and friends. On October 28, 2006, she married Claire Story. Hazel passed with many family members and friends by her side. She is survived by Claire Story (husband); her three children and David Reichman (husband of Candis); her grandchildren and Scott Wood (husband of Sonya); sister, Lois Johnson; many nieces and nephews; and Claire’s children and grandchildren.
