Paul O. Krupa

Paul Otto Krupa entered peacefully into rest in the early hours of June 5, 2010 at Hospice House. He is survived by his three children and their spouses, sons Paul Michael (Pamela), Othello, Timothy (Dana), Spokane Valley, daughter Janice (John) Westerman of Santa Rosa, CA; four grandchildren, Paul Matthew, Jennifer Krupa of Othello, Nicole and fiancé Jeremy Lenhartzen of Aberdeen, WA, Renae Krupa of Spokane Valley; brother Herman Krupa of Othello and nieces and nephews. Paul was born July 4, 1925 in Spokane, WA to Karl and Hattie Krupa. He is preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Hattie Krupa; sister Charlotte Sinclair; and his beloved wife of 59 years, Janet. Paul graduated from Rogers High School in 1943 and served in the US Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. Attended WSC and Kinman for a short time. Janet and Paul were married in 1948. Paul was employed by the Postal Service, retiring with 36 years of service. He was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, serving on several committees through the years. A Cub Scout leader and Scout Troop dad. An active leader of the Valley Chapter of NARFE and delivered Meals On Wheels. In retirement Paul and Janet enjoyed traveling and their "Summer Place"on the Pend Oreille River. Paul had recently moved to Evergreen Fountains where he made many friends and enjoyed Wii bowling. Grandpa Paul will be remembered for his talented woodworking skills, faithful service unto the Lord, and his adoration of his grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 10, at 1:00 pm at St. Peter Lutheran Church, N. 4620 Regal. Pastor Betty Krafft officiating. Interment at Fairmount Memorial Park. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers. Paul’s children would like to express our genuine thanks and gratitude to Hospice House for the comfort and care that we all received.
