Emil "Mac" A. Megrue

Emil A. “Mac” Megrue, Jr. was born January 3, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio. On June 28, 2010, Mac went to be with the Lord, passing away peacefully at home with family by his side. He was a 1948 graduate of West Valley High where he was active in all sports and served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Mac retired from Kaiser in 1981, after 33 years of faithful service. In 1986, he suffered a debilitating stroke, but was able to remain at home where he had a good quality of life. Mac attended Foothills Community Church, where Pastor Jerry was instrumental in leading him to his faith in Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mitzi, at their home on Orchard Prairie;children, Frank (Doris); Lavone Earling; Jim (Tammie) Stephens; Gene (Tish) Stephens; Judy (Rich) Senkler; Sherree (Michael) Schneider; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, July 2 and Monday, July 5 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM at Riplinger Funeral Home & Crematory 4305 N. Division Spokane, WA. Funeral service will begin at 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the Foothills Community Church 11102 N. Forker, Spokane, WA. Memorial contributions may be made in Mac’s name to Hospice of Spokane or West Valley High School Booster Club.
