Smith, Faith Lilias (Everett) passed away peacefully on July 29, 2010, at the age of 90. She was born on June 12, 1920 in Spokane, WA. Faith graduated from North Central High School and Eastern Washington State College and embarked on a career in teaching, retiring in 1978. She taught Morse code to the US Army Air Force in Sioux Falls, South Dakota during WWII. Faith loved flowers and gardening, joining her first garden club in 1956. She pursued her hobby with a passion. One of her favorite events was the annual garden club tour. She loved to travel, play cards, board games, and spending time with her family. Faith was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Roscoe, in 2002. She is survived by her loving children, daughter, Kay, and sons, Jim (Gayle), and Gary; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Colonial Court for their care and kindness. A memorial service will begin at 11:00AM on Friday, August 6, 2010 at Fowler United Methodist Church 3928 N. Howard in Spokane. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Faith’s name to Colonial Court 12016 E. Cataldo Ave., Spokane Valley, WA 99206 or to a charity of one’s choice.
