Eugene O. Blackburn

Eugene O. Blackburn(age 88) entered into rest on August 12, 2010. Eugene was born on November 12, 1921 in Reed Point, Montana to parents Jacob and Mary Blackburn. He graduated from Sweet Grass County High School. Eugene was a resident of Spokane for over 40 years. He worked as a utility man for Washington Water Power Co. from December 1971 until retiring in 1995. Eugene was a faithful member of the Turning Point Open Bible Church for over 24 years. He was a songwriter and an inventor. His wife Martha, who passed away in 2002, preceded him in death. His son Everett Blackburn of Cambridge, ID and his church family survive him. Visitation will be on Monday, August 16 from 9:00am to 8:00PM and Tuesday, August 17 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM at Riplinger Funeral Home & Crematory 4305 N. Division Spokane, WA. Graveside service will begin at 1:30PM Wednesday, August 18, 2010 on the grounds of Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery 5200 W. Wellesley Ave. Spokane, WA.
