THAYER, Donald A. (Age 75) - Born August 24, 1934 in Farmington, WA; went peacefully to be with the Lord August 16, 2010. Don was loved by all who knew him, and was known for the joy he brought into a room. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy, in 1994. Don is survived by his daughter, Debbie Devenport; son, Steve Thayer; granddaughter, Angela Smith and grandson, Donny Thayer all of Spokane; brother, Ray Thayer of Riverside,CA; nephews, Mike and Dan Thayer both of Riverside, CA; brother-in-law, Jack Glochner of Newport, WA; fiance, Maureen Lickteig of Spokane; and numerous relatives and friends. Don graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and then served in the U.S. Marines Corps. After the service, Don worked as a burner for Mica Brick Plant retiring in 1996. Don enjoyed dancing and traveling. He will be missed. A Celebration of Don's life will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spokane Valley Eagles Lodge, 16801 E. Sprague Ave. All who knew and loved Don are welcome.
