Ruth Frances McKimmey

Ruth F. McKimmey passed away August 16, 2010 at the age of 92. Ruth Tucker was born on September 12, 1917 in Butte, Montana. She married Leo F. McKimmey in Wallace, Idaho and resided there for 4 years at which time they moved to Spokane, Washington. Ruth enjoyed her home, the antics of her dog, Tuxedo, and visits from family, friends and especially her daily “coffee buddy” and great friend of 30+ years, Betty Carolan. Her granddaughters remember fondly the stories she would tell, always beginning with “Once a pony time…“ She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo McKimmey and their infant daughter, Marlene. She is survived by her son Leroy and daughter-in-law, Patricia, grandchildren Gail (Peter) Wright, Debra (Lee) Klein, Becky (Jon) Mogensen and Todd (Heather) McKimmey and great-grandchildren Matthew & Allison Wright, Megan & Robin Klein, Amy & Jay Mogensen and Zoe McKimmey. There will be a viewing on Saturday, August 21,2010 from 9am-5pm at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division, Spokane, WA, followed by a service at the same location on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 10 am. Donations may be made to The American Heart Association or other charity of your choice.
