Anneliese Corativo(age 96) entered into rest on September 9, 2010. She was born on August 12, 1914 to parents Carl and Josephine Krickau in Seligenstadt, Germany. It was there in the little town of Seligenstadt that she met her loving husband of 59 years, Cosme Corativo, in 1947. Cosme was stationed at the Munich Air Base when their relationship began. They were married on September 4, 1951 while Cosme was still in the military. Over the years, they were assigned to air force bases in Texas, Wyoming, Arizona, Ohio, and in July of 1960, they were assigned to Fairchild AFB. Cosme retired from the military after 22 years. Spokane has been their home for the last 45 years, and it is here they raised their son, Christopher. She worked outside the home for only a short time, wishing to stay at home to take care of her husband and child, Anneliese became a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers of all kinds, and reading. Anneliese is survived by her loving husband Cosme; son, Christopher; grandchildren Sean, Ryan and Nicole all of Spokane; and niece Briggete Krickau of Frankfurt, Germany. “I am going to miss my one and only beloved Anneliese for the rest of my life. For our 59 years of marriage, Anneliese and I were inseparable.” The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the Doctors and staff at Sacred Heart Medical Center for their excellent work, care, and concern for her health, during her stay. A graveside service will begin at 2:00PM on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 on the grounds of Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery 508 N. Government Way Spokane, WA.
