TEATS, Jess Elden (age 65)- Entered into rest at the VA Medical Center-Spokane, on October 30, 2010. A life-long Spokane area resident, Jess, was born in Spokane on Feb 13, 1945 to Earl and Hester (Steiner) Teats. He was very active at Rogers High School, and a proud graduate of the Class of 1963. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in Vietnam, and was a member of the American Legion Post #54 of Chewelah. Jess always loved the outdoors. He owned and operated the Loon Lake Café for many years. Jess is survived by his wife of 19 years, Helen, at their Loon Lake home; his sons, Earl of Troy, MT, and Chadwick of Loon Lake; his step-daughters, Michelle (Rob) McIntosh of Kettle Falls, Shana (Kevin) Dorow of Addy, and Rhonda (Ron) Watson of Deer Park; a brother, Terry Teats of Chewelah; a sister, Ellen of Wisconsin; numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held at Riplinger Funeral Home on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 2 & 3, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Funeral service with military honors will be conducted on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Private interment will be at the Eastern Washington State Veterans Cemetery, Medical Lake, WA.
