Irene Dee Sonnabend

Irene “Dee” Sonnabend (age 46) passed away with her family & friends at her side on December 4, 2010 after losing her battle with lung cancer. Dee was born August 25, 1964 in Newport, Washington. She lived the rest of her life in Spokane, Washington. She is survived by her daughter, Candice Mielke; mother, Shirley (George) Smith; father, Bob (Sharon) Clark; sister, Debbie (Chad) Olsen,; brothers, Rob (Debbie) Clark & Steve Huifking; honorary family members, Andy Schab, Dave Saty and Jodie Field; numerous other family members and friends. Dee graduated from Rogers High School in 1982 and from Spokane Community College in 1984. Dee was working as a hairdresser at Chappell’s Salon in Spokane Valley. Dee was an amazing daughter, mother and friend. She made friends wherever she went with her wonderful and caring personality, thoughtfulness for those around her and her infectious laugh. Dee will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 18, 2010 at 5:00 at The Intersection Church 905 N. McDonald Rd Spokane Valley . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a memorial fund set up in Candice Mielke’s behalf at Horizon Federal Credit Union.
