MILLER, Anton E. "Tony" (Age 87) - Born in Hague, North Dakota on January 16, 1923, to Englebert Miller and Agatha Feist. He died on December 9, 2010 in Spokane, WA. Tony was one of eleven chidlren. Tony spent 12 years at Hague schools and loved to play basketball. He played at the Klein's Bar and Dance Hall. He was in the 82nd Airborne Division with the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. His military specialty was radio operator and cook. Tony married Rose Marie Keller from Strausberg, ND in 1946 and moved to Spokane, WA. Rosie preceded him in death in 1999 as well as their daughter, Sonya Mae Miller in 1986. His seven surviving children are Sandra Egger (Richard Egger died in 1998), Sheila Miller and her husband, Roy, Antonia and her husband, Patrick Carey, Susan and her husband, David McCullough; his sons, Tim, Tom and his wife, Vicky, and Ted and his wife, Lisa. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Tony attended Kinman Business University from 1946 to 1948 for bookkeeping. He worked as a bookkeeper at Jensen Byrd Hardware for 10 years. In 1958, he became a builder of homes and worked at that profession for 27 years. He made his home the last year at the Spokane Veterans Home. He loved the care providers there and the many residents he befriended. A Vigil Service will be held on Monday December 13, 2010 at 7:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Assumption Parish, 3624 W. Indian Trail Rd., Spokane, WA.
