Ashley Lillian Okorn, born October 22nd, 1987, in Long Beach, CA, passed away on December 11th, 2024, in Spokane, WA. She was the beloved daughter of Jerri Armstrong and Atim Okorn Sr.
Ashley graduated from Shadle Park High School in Spokane, WA, in 2006 and began her career as a grocer shortly thereafter. She was extremely dedicated to her craft; her colleagues remember her for her hard work, attention to detail, and ability to put a smile on their face through dance.
Ashley loved to dance and cheering for her favorite sports teams, Chelsea F.C. and the University of Southern California. She also enjoyed listening to music and playing pranks on her friends, family, and colleagues. She was an animal lover, and as a result, was a vegetarian for most of her life. Above all, Ashley loved her family. She cherished the role of being an aunt to her niece and nephew, frequently indulging them with FaceTime dance parties.
While Ashley’s passions brought her joy, it was her unwavering love for those closest to her that truly defined her.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, caring , and compassion for all those who knew and loved her. She consistently put others before herself. Her final act was to give the gift of life to others as an organ donor.
Ashley is survived by her mother, Jerri Armstrong; her father, Atim Okorn Sr.; her brothers, Atim Okorn Jr. and Frank Okorn; her sisters, Alyssa Armstrong and Michelle Okorn; her sister-in-law, Jennifer Okorn; and her beloved niece and nephew, Nia and Ntui Okorn. She is also remembered by her life-long friends, Bryan Reamer and Andrea McCain. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Iryll and Donald Bush, and Okorn Atim and Serrah Okorn, as well as her stepfather, Charles Armstrong.
Though her time with us was cut short, Ashley’s warmth, smile, laughter, and the love she gave will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
