Beverly J Honeycutt

January 27, 1929 — February 11, 2021

Beverly J. (Thompson) Honeycutt, 92, brought conversation and chuckles to all who knew her. She died suddenly and peacefully February 11, 2021, at Orchard Crest Assisted Living in Spokane Valley, WA. She was born in Spokane, January 27, 1929. Her mother and father both deceased, she had 1 brother, Kenneth Peter Thompson, also deceased, December 23, 2019. Bev attended schools on Spokane's North side, graduating from High School at North Central. Soon after, GMAC hired her as a secretary where she was proudly employed for many years. A young handsome William J. Honeycutt, became the love of her life, swept her off her feet and they married May 15, 1953. They were married 57 years. They spent most of their time together in business, Honeycutt Lake Property and BJ Motors, where she was great support as well as in their private lives where they shared a beautiful lake home on Twin Lakes. Bev loved to cook and entertain and play with their beautiful black lab, Babe, there. Many special occasions were spent with friends and family and she was always a wonderful gracious hostess. Many volunteer hours were given to the Shriners hospital and later joined the auxiliary at Deaconess Hospital in the gift shop. This kept Bev very occupied, as did her memberships involving The Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and Ladies of the Oriental Shrine, and in 1994 becoming her husband Bills' First Lady of El Katif Shriners. Traveling with “Bill” and friends to Mexico, Hawaii, Scotland and Ireland, and her favorite, the U.S.A., was her passion. While visiting these exciting places, shopping for native pieces was a must! Thus, she became a special collector! She so appreciated her neighbors on South Linda Lane and was so grateful for her many good friends. You know who you are. She will be missed. She loved and lived life. Thanks and gratitude to the administration and staff of Orchard Crest Senior Living. Her wish upon death was to be quietly laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Bill, at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery. Please provide memorials as you deem appropriate.
