Brandon Jacob Blair

Brandon Jacob Blair, born on March 29, 1978, at Beale Air Force Base in California, passed away on December 9, 2024, in Spokane, Washington. He was 46 years old.

Brandon’s greatest joy in life was his family, especially his beloved wife, Katherine Blair, and their children: Jacob, Alison (future daughter-in-law), Ash, Jason, and Jackson. He also shared a deep bond with his father, Curtis Blair; mother, Lisa Blair; and sisters, Michelle Blair (John Ostolasa) and Heather Weber (Joshua). His cherished grandparents Angelo and Bette Perata were very important to him. Brandon’s extended family included his aunts Laura Ironside (Mark), Shari Matthews (Greg), and Vicki Gatward (Chris); nieces Eryn Lutton (Caleb), Madison McCleary, Audrey Weber, and Genevieve “Gigi” Weber; nephew Ean Hobbs; and cousin Molly Blair. He was preceded in death by his grandmother (Gammy) Juanita Blair and uncle Don Blair. He also had a biological daughter, Katlynn Morales, who was lovingly placed for adoption.

Brandon attended Shadle Park High School before continuing his education at Spokane Community College and Eastern Washington University. He built a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant in Spokane, where he was a partner at DeCoria, Blair and Teague, PS.

An avid sports fan, Brandon especially loved cheering for the Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball team. Later in life, he developed a passion for collecting and tasting whiskeys, which he generously shared with loved ones. He also enjoyed spending time with his loyal dog Benson and cat Nimbus, who miss him dearly already. Music played a major role in Brandon’s life. At Shadle Park High he was a member of the vocal ensemble in addition to playing several instruments in the band, sang in the choir while attending Spokane Falls Community College, and performed with Crimson Company, Washington State University’s singing and dancing troupe and traveling show choir. 

A fun highlight that Brandon accomplished in 2002 at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course: Using a 3-wood on the 236-yard par-4 17th hole, he shot an albatross - a hole-in-one that will be remembered by all who witnessed or heard of this feat. This is a rarity (double eagle “ace” on a par 4) that most pro golfers never achieve.

Brandon’s warmth, humor and generosity touched everyone around him. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
