Carol Rae Morris Fullmer

Carol passed away peacefully in her home on May 30, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two sons Erick and Samuel Fullmer, and her daughter Stephanie Fullmer-Galtieri. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ernest M. Fullmer Jr. of Spokane, Washington and her children Patrick (Kristin) Fullmer, of Spokane, Washington, Raelin Fullmer (George Kosho Finch), of Portland, Oregon, Joseph Fullmer, of Spokane, Washington, Laura (Thomas Grissom), of Covington, Washington, her grandchildren Hope (Nick) Brandon, of Everett, Washington, Mikayla Scyphers, of Clarkston, Washington, Lily Richards, Addyson Fullmer, Samantha Fullmer of Spokane, Isabel Grissom, of Covington and lastly her great-grandchildren Emma, Zoey and Kai Brandon of Everett and Kaden and Noah McNamara of Clarkston.

Carol was born March 1, 1946, in St. Marie’s, Idaho to Raymond and Marjorie Morris. She moved to Spokane as a child and graduated from Rogers High School in 1964. She attended Whitworth University in conjunction with The Deaconess Hospital of Nursing in 1967/8. While attending nursing school she met the love of her life Ernest M. Fullmer Jr., and they were married June 10, 1967. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with her bachelor’s degree in 1992 and continued her education with an emphasis in elderly social work and achieved her master’s degree in 1994.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, nana and friend. She will be remembered for being a very compassionate, artistic, open-minded, grounded, and generous soul who loved cooking, gardening, reading, learning, traveling and being with her friends, family and her family of choice. Her overall wisdom for life, love and peace will be carried on for generations to come. For those we have loved will live in our hearts and memories forever. She is deeply missed.

A celebration of life for Carol will be held on Saturday July 29, 2023, at Riplinger Funeral Home in Spokane, Washington from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Carol will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane, Washington in a private ceremony.
