Dan Evans

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dan Evans, born in 1951 in Spokane, Washington. He lost his brave battle against cancer on September 30, 2023.

Dan graduated from Rogers High School in 1969 where he was very involved in sports. He continued on in life enjoying sports as well as coaching sports. He retired from a 32-year career with the City of Spokane at the Wastewater Treatment Facility. He enjoyed retired years boating and fishing at Lake Roosevelt, riding his side by side through the mountains of Idaho, and traveling south to soak in some warmth in the winter months.

Dan is survived by his wife, Dawn; his son Joel (Hanna); his stepstop Leland (Hallee); his brother Jim (Christy); and his sister Carrie (Tom). He also has 4 grandchildren who brought him much joy. He was preceded in death by his parents JD & Margaret Evans, and his daughter Jamie.

We will celebrate Dan's life at 3pm on Friday, October 13th at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division St.
