Dan Lee Sherwood

"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." Dan Sherwood passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home on November 21, 2019.  He was 84 years old.  Dan lived a full life loving the Lord and serving others with love and respect.  He will be greatly missed by all.  A memorial service will be held at River City Church, 708 W. Nora Avenue on Wednesday, December 11th at 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his remembrance to Union Gospel Mission, Samaritan's Purse, or Horizon Hospice of Spokane. This world is full of hurt and pain.   There's so much stress and strife. Jesus says just believe in Me.   "I'm the way, the truth, the life."   It's hard for us to comprehend   The things He has to say. "Just believe and I will show you."   We want it the other way.   He tells us to believe in Him,   To trust His every Word; To listen to the things He Says,   And do what we have heard.   We're accustomed to our earthly ways,   No matter what the cost. He is the way, the truth, the life.   Without Him we are lost.   "I've done so many things," we say.   "It's much to late for me." That's not the way our good Lord works   He forgives us all you see.   What do we do to take away   This emptiness within? We come to Him in faith and trust.   The change will come from Him.   He says we must be born again.   There is no other way. Accept Him as our Savior and our Lord.   His Word we must obey.                                DAN SHERWOOD
