Dee Scott passed away December 30th, 2024. Born in Spokane Washington June 21st, 1939 to Ralph and Doris Scott, Dee was a high energy child. Dee graduated from Rogers High School class of 1958 where he was an accomplished athlete who played football, basketball and was particularly quick in track and field. Dee held a state record in the 880 for many years. Later he coached and played softball in the Spokane area where he played in the national tournament, an effort that eventually led to his being inducted into the Spokane softball hall of fame.
Dee married his high school sweetheart Janet Blain in 1960 and was married for 64 years. He is survived by his wife Janet, their son Todd Scott and wife Anneliese Keifer, His sister Kathleen Crisp (he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Larry Crisp), Brother-in-law Dick Blain and wife Susan, as well as four nieces, Sandy Hunt, Sheri and Rodger Perry, Heather and Brady Brown and Cindy and Pat Baker.
Dee and family enjoyed many years at a cabin at Sacheen lake year-round. There were many hours spent boating, snowmobiling, hunting and hanging out in the shade while the kids played in the sun. A loving husband and family man Dee always made time for and supported family activities and gatherings.
Professionally Dee started out as a maintenance technician for the Bon Marche where he learned many skills and became a jack of all trades. Later he had a long career in sales working for ITT Grinnell, Haskins Steel and for Banner Fuel before retiring in 2002.
