BOUGHTER, Eugene John (Age 93) Eugene John Boughter “Gene” was born on May 19th, 1925 in Aberdeen, WA, died on July 7th, 2018 at home with his family in Spokane, WA. He was a life long resident of Washington State. He served in the Navy as an Electrician’s Mate during World War II in the Pacific Fleet where he was Honorably discharged from his last duty station, a sea-going barge, awaiting the invasion of the Japanese island. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Boughter, and his 2nd wife Nita Boughter and his 3rd wife Ann Root, His son Jerry Boughter and His step-son Lou Vanderburg, his sisters Emma, Grace, his step-sisters Minnie and Maude. He is survived by his Sister Betty Hagman, his brother-in law Don Miller, his Sons Jack, Joe, Jay, Jeffry and Jeno, his daughters Jan and Jessie, his step-children Nita, Maria, David, Connie and Sandy, over 40 grand-children, a myriad of cousins, nephews, nieces and all their children. He was a life member of VFW Post 51, The Fraternal Order of Eagles #2. He loved dancing, fishing, travel and meeting new people. There was always a cup of coffee for anyone who stopped by for a visit. We will miss you. Thanks Dad. Services will be held at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division St, Spokane, WA, on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 1100 hrs, followed by interment services with military honors at Greenwood Memorial Terrace (southwest corner) and a gathering at VFW Post 51.
