Evalene L. Holmes

HOLMES, Evalene L. (Age 94) – Born on February 28, 1924 in Elkins, West Virginia; entered into rest on October 5, 2018 in Spokane, Washington.  A Spokane area resident for 54 years. Evalene enjoyed cooking, playing pinochle and embroidery. She is survived by sons, Robert D. Holmes, Jr., Michael A. Holmes, Howard E. Holmes; daughter, Sharon R. Lawson; son, David L. Holmes; daughters, Elaine “Kay” Holmes, Kathleen L. Quintero, Norma L. Reilly and Janice L. Jones; and son, Harold W. Holmes all of Spokane; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Holmes in 1995. A special thank you to her grandson Ron Holmes for all the love and support. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery, 211 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA.
