Evelyn Jean Carney

Evelyn Jean Carney was born on October 17, 1935, to George James Carney and Mattie Lee Sturdivant in Aberdeen, Washington where she grew up and married David Enyeart in 1951. They had a son Michael Enyeart 1954 after she moved to Spokane where she met & married Robert Lyle Stejskal in 1955 and had 3 more children, (Mark, Karen, and Robert). Later married Max Shrimpf in 1981 (Stepchildren Karen & Carl). She was a hardworking Mother who worked several jobs in the local community including Vern’s Pies, as a florist, and in real estate. The last 27+ years she spent with the love of her life, Eugene Kosanke, and was like a mother to his son Todd. She was preceded in death by Husbands; David Enyeart, Robert Stejskal, and Max Shrimpf, Sons: Michael Enyeart, and Mark Stejskal, Grandchildren; Matthew, Christian, & Jewelya Enyeart. She is survived by Eugene & Todd Kosanke, Daughter Karen Adams (Ron), son Robert T. Stejskal, and Daughters-in-law Veronica and Christine. Granddaughters; Angela Mitchell, Veronica Heitstuman, Tabytha Frenzen, and many great-grandchildren, nephews & nieces. She died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, August 31 at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N Division St in Spokane. Evelyn will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
