Harley J. Latting, 94, of Spokane, Washington, succumbed to cancer surrounded by his family on January 19, 2023.
Harley was born August 3, 1928 to Harley E. and Dorthea Latting in Meyers Falls, WA. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ellen (Gibson) Latting of 47 years, children Leonard Latting and Pamela Turner both of Spokane, WA, and siblings Terry Latting of Moses Lake, WA, Robert Latting of Spokane, WA, Sharon Darlene Clark of Spokane, WA and Gladys Bryant of Addy, WA. He is survived by his brother Kenneth Latting of Spokane, daughter Peggy A. Harriman (Lyndon) of Post Falls, ID, son Bruce A. Latting (Deborah) of Airway Heights, WA, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Harley served in the military during WW II and worked several decades for Kaiser Aluminum as a millwright. He enjoyed working his Deer Park ranch for over sixty-years, most of those with his wife Ellen at his side. He loved his family, friends, reading his western books, watching his western shows and movies, and going camping, fishing, hunting, and telling lots of stories.
Services will take place at 10:00 am, February 3, 2023 at Riplinger Funeral Home, 4305 N. Division St. with graveside services following at 12:00 pm at Fairmount Memorial, 5200 W. Wellesley.
