STUCHELL, Jean M. (age 89) – Entered into rest on July 6, 2018 in Spokane, WA. Jean was born in Spokane to Edward and Jane (Crawford) Sweo and was a life-long resident. She graduated from Rogers High School, a standout Basketball and Tennis player. She attended Kinman Business College and worked 20 years as manager of the Spokane Postal Credit Union. Jean was an avid outdoor enthusiast. Along with her husband, Chuck (predeceased, 2014) and their family, she spent uncountable hours enjoying God’s cathedral – the outdoors – hiking, horseback riding, huckleberry picking and soaking it all in. She was a devoted Presbyterian, first generation American, and proud of her Scottish heritage. In addition, Jean was a devoted volunteer with the Backcountry Horsemen, Hospice, and the Shriners Hospital for Children, earning much appreciation and recognition. A memorial service in her honor will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA, with Pastor Dr. John Williams officiating. Jean has been previously laid to rest between her husband, Chuck, and her son, Robert, at Spokane Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
