Jerald C Gruvman

Jerald C Gruvman, 83, of Spokane, WA. passed away peacefully on Dec. 26, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital of Spokane, WA. Jerry was born Sept. 16, 1938 to Tore Enfred and Crystal Christensen Gruvman in Goshen, ID. He grew up on the Goshen farm. After graduating from Firth High School in 1956 Jerry joined the military, US Air Force, in Jan 1958. While he was in Spokane he met his wife Mary Barta. They married in 1967 in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Jerry traveled to many places. The family called him the world traveler. After retiring in 1978 he went to work for Washington Trust Bank and the newspaper and retired from both after 20 years. Jerry loved camping, fishing and bowling with his friends and family. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening. Jerry was a devoted, wonderful and loving man to his family. He will be very much missed and never forgotten. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, wife, daughter, Jackie Rutherford, son-in-law, Rudy Coronado and sister-in-law, Sandy Gruvman. Jerry is survived by his Brother’s, Gary(Linda) and Brent(Kathy) Gruvman: Children, John(Mimi) Gruvman, Diana Gonzales, Cindy Coronado, Wendy(John) Thomopolous, Terry(Dawn) Gruvman, Justin Gruvman and Nathlie Gruvman; grandchildren, Traci Lopez, Shawn and Mary Wood; great grandchildren, Jordan and Monique Lopez, Kaydence and Kayne Wood and 1 great great granddaughter Luna Lopez. Also many nephews, nieces and cousins. The family will have a memorial and celebration of life in June to celebrate a wonderful man’s life.
