John (Jack) Arthur Smith, 62, of Spokane, Washington, passed away suddenly in his home on January 1st, 2023.
Jack was born on October 31st, 1960 to Dorothy Smith (Hirmer) and John Smith Sr. in Spokane. Jack was one of four children, including Barbara Smith (Bates), Matthew Smith, and Michael Smith.
After receiving his GED from Havermale, Jack worked at Whitey’s Wrecking Yard, doing windshield installation on the side and went on to become a windshield technician at Safelite. In 2000, Jack met Kimberly Perdue on America Online. They officially met in person when Kimberly flew to Spokane in September of 2000. They married in 2001 and they went on to have one child, Jackee Smith.
Jack dedicated time to volunteering at Saint Patrick’s Catholic School as his daughter went there, and at the Hillyard COPS shop as well. In his free time, Jack loved listening to, and collecting, music, especially classic rock. He was an avid supporter of the local music scene, even becoming a photographer/videographer for bands in the area.
Jack was predeceased by his father, John Smith Sr. and his aunt, Zudora Marsal.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Smith, brothers Michael Smith and Matthew Smith, sister Barbara Smith (Bates), wife, Kimberly Smith, and his daughter, Jackee Smith.
